Chess has so many precious history. Chess was invent in northern India in Gupta Dynasty. The earliest known form of chess is two handed Chaturanga, like Indian armies at this time. From India it spread quickly to Persia (Iran) and when it enter in Arab It is called Satranj by the Arabians. Finally it is spread to Europe from Asian Continent. Chess got popularity in Mid East and Europe also.

Chess spread Arab to North Africa by 10^th century . It was a very favorite of many king Henry 1, Henry 2 and Alfanso x etc. It was become royal game at Europe.

The ancient time chess there was no clock and the format of games changed  gradually. The appearance of the pieces was very simple in ancient time.

After 19^th Century it is change to standard and held a lot of famous championship in this time, the world chess championship also happened in this era, in 1886.

Chess Clock were first used in 1883, First US Chess Tournament held 1849.

The popularity of this game continue till now.
